Virtual HBCU Campus Tours This Week
Learn4Life hosts week-long HBCU campus tour. Later: 3-day summit on Black family , a "spoken word" competition & other virtual celebrations
a Learn4Life feature
Learn4Life honors this Black History Month with the belief that Black history is American history and fostering its understanding can benefit the 47,000 students it serves each year. In that spirit, Learn4Life has planned a month of activities, conversations and competitions to engage students, staff and the public.
Ever wonder what it would be like to attend a Historically Black College and University (HBCU)? Eleven HBCUs will provide a glimpse into their school, college life and admission requirements at a Virtual College Week (Feb. 8-11) highlighting institutions such as Central State in Ohio, Florida A&M and Winston-Salem State in North Carolina and more.
Visit www.learn4life.org/college-week for the complete schedule. Learn4Life students benefit from increased access to HBCUs thanks to a one-of-a-kind partnership with the 1890 Foundation.
Explore The Black Family: Representation, Identity and Diversity, a presentation from the Association for the Study of African American Life and History. This three-day Black History Virtual Summit (Feb. 23-25, 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. PST) summit will feature student presentations of art, singing, poetry and essays that depict their observances and feelings about Black family culture. The summit is open to the public. Access the summit at www.learn4life.org/blackhistory.
