(WASHINGTON, D.C.) Prosperity Now, the country’s leading racial economic justice organization, invites members of the press to its first-ever Media Symposium, “Sustaining Coverage for Racial Economic Inequity in the Information Age.”

Titled, “Marching On: Reimagining Economic Justice for All,” the national Summit is back in person as the premier national gathering for champions of racial and ethnic economic equity. The Summit will take place at the Hyatt Regency hotel on September 19th – September 21st in Atlanta, GA. This year's Summit destination was deliberately chosen because of its civil rights legacy and leadership role in justice movements. It provides the perfect setting for attendees to reflect on the past, convene around the present, and create action and impact for the future. Updates can be found at #ProsperitySummit2022.

A special media panel and media meet and greet will take place during the conference, on Tuesday, September 20th at 4:30pm in Hanover E. The event is free and open to press who check in at Registration and will feature the below speakers and introduce topical experts from Prosperity Now that are releasing new reports and/or data at the conference. These experts are featured in its Media Guide.

Prosperity Now’s President and CEO, Gary Cunningham, will also be available to speak on the recently announced Black Wealth Data Center, incubated by Prosperity Now and funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Greenwood Initiative.  At launch, the Black Wealth Data Center will host data sets focused on assets, debt, education, employment, home ownership, and business ownership. With more complete data available, the BWDC will serve as a powerful resource for leaders to leverage data to empower evidence-based policy making and investment decisions that will increase Black wealth in America.
