The Council of State Governments Eastern Regional Conference, Council on Communities of Color presents the latest installment of its ongoing micro-summit series. Now called "The Movement Summit" series, this new discussion will be: "Black Farmers: A Struggle for Relief and a Future"
Movement Summits are unique convening of state and local policy makers, experts and thinkers in search of equitable governing solutions. This panel will take place via Zoom on Friday, May 14th, 10am - 11am ET.
The "Black Farmers" panel will examine current federal attempts to provide economic relief for troubled Black farmers and the possibilities of future farming in BIPOC communities. How do we expand investments and career opportunities in the very important field of agriculture science, especially as the climate crisis escalates? What are regional state-led trends and how can the regions pull together to assist Black Farmers?
Join us for this important discussion. Panelists will offer expert insights, guidance and strategy.
