Richard Rothstein is the author of The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the Economic Policy Institute, a fellow of the Thurgood Marshall Institute of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and of the Haas Institute at the University of California (Berkeley).
He will discuss the historic role of government in shaping structural and systemic racism in public policy, and the ways in which state governments should enact and enforce meaningful legislation to address equity in education, health, housing, environment, and policing. The program will be moderated by Charles Ellison, political analyst, Host of WURD Radio Reality Check, and Senior Fellow with CSG East.
